Hogspears Selling policies:

Our aim is to ensure our customers are satisfied with their purchases.We specialise in vintage items and do our best to describe items to the best of our ability.

Payment:-

Please make payment no later than 3 days after making your purchase, payments not received within 10 days will receive an unpaid item reminder -  just a friendly reminder for payment!   From UK buyers we accept Paypal, postal orders and cheques.  From overseas buyers we accept Paypal and other methods by individual arrangement.

Shipping:- 

UK items are sent using Royal Mail or Parcelforce 48.  Items with a value of less than £36 are sent by First Class, those that are worth more than £36 are sent by Special Delivery and any items that weigh over 2kgs are sent by Parcelforce 48.  Special Delivery and Parcelforce are trackable and insured.

International items are sent using Royal Mail International Signed For (lighter parcels) and heavier items are sent by Parcelforce International Scheduled.

All postal prices can be seen in our table below, our prices include all postage, packing and handling costs.

Overseas items are only sent by trackable and insured methods. 

We always obtain proof of posting from the post office and are happy to provide information and assist in making claims if needed. 

Delivery:-

Please allow up to 10 working days for UK delivery.  We ship items as promptly as we can.  Items are often dispatched the day that payment is received. 

All overseas items are sent with priority handling but we cannot guarantee a delivery date as this varies from country to country.

Refunds & Returns

Full refunds will be given for items that by mutual agreement are mistakenly described.  Our listings don't fall under the UK Distance Selling Regulations, and so we are not legally obliged to refund a buyer if they simply change their mind.  We will however, be happy to refund any item that is significantly not as described.

To qualify for a refund all items must be returned in the same condition as they were received. If an item that we sell doesn't conform to this criteria, you can return your item for a full refund provided that it is returned within 7 days of receipt and in the same condition in which it was received.   We will not reimburse the postage costs of sending the item or returning it to us.

Please ensure that items are insured when returned as refunds will not be given for items 'lost in the post'.  The Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs incurred unless the item was shipped in error. 

Refunds or exchanges cannot be given to overseas customers due to high customs taxes incurred on return delivery.  The only exception to this is if goods were delivered in error by ourselves.

Update on Postage Prices

We use a postage table on every listing to make it easier for buyers to see how much postage will be before they buy.  Royal Mail changed their prices in April 09 and we have changed our postage table accordingly.
