An early 20th century British Army Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry major's mess jacket and tropical mess jacket. This is a scarce piece of Yeomanry Cavalry uniform. The jacket has a dark quilted inner lining. The main fabric is dark blue superfine type fabric with red piping. High grade two piece collar dogs. Distinctive thin twisted cord epaulettes with later Queen's Crown rank badges. King's Crown gilt buttons to the cuffs. Made by Rogers and Company circa 1929. Good condition for its age and wear, museum grade. Complete with a similar size tropical white mess jacket. In good condition.
